Becoming a copywriter has been a natural progression born out of years working in industry in general. Writing copy for companies feels like the most natural thing in the world, and I would love the opportunity to work with you or your organisation.
Below is a little background about who I am and what I do.
I attended Corona Academy Stage School and appeared in several films; but treading the boards wasn’t in my blood and I lacked the theatrical zeal necessary in pursuing such a career. But I do have one major claim to fame – call me and I’ll tell you what it is.
A stint working on the Deli counter at the Co-op, followed by a career as a Telephone Sales Exec for a popular free magazine aged just 16, put me on a firm path to gaining a broad commercial understanding. The bottom line, I learnt how to sell.
Fast forward 15 years or so, a career as a film director, importer of jewellery and prolific new media entrepreneur and I ended up orchestrating the business development for one of the top New Media Agencies in the country. It was there that I started to dabble in copywriting.
Two years later saw a small change into the PR industry, writing copy for press releases, articles and sales letters and here I am today. Since May 2009 I’ve been writing copy and offering marketing advice, mainly to the SME market.
